So Much Going On…
It’s been another busy month for SPSA, with testing events, community support and plenty happening across Somerset. Here’s a quick look at what we’ve been up to.
Mendip Springs Golf Club
The month started with a testing event at the Mendip Springs Golf Club on 5 th September when 235 men were tested.
Our thanks go to David Bate and his colleagues at the golf club for all their help throughout the day.
The hero of the day was the golfer who bought drinks for everyone to celebrate his hole in one (our team of stewards and phlebotomists declined the kind offer).
The Cross Keys Inn
A wonderful 3-day beer festival was held at the Cross Keys Inn at Lydford on Fosse at the beginning of September and their chosen charity was SPSA.
They have also offered their function room as a testing venue, with that event taking place on Saturday 17 th October.
SPSA had such a welcome on the Sunday evening and were humbled by the owners’ generosity and lifted by the wonderful atmosphere at the Inn.
